The end result should be a bun that is smooth and pinned perfectly in place and blended to get an elegant effect, with the ponytail ends sticking up. Use a little more spray gel...not hand gel...to provide form and texture to the fanned ends of the pony tail. At this point the hard part is done.

Experiment with bangs, no bangs, and hair tendrils hanging down around the face. If it is a big night, try this out before you have to pull this off for real.  It is important to make sure that everything works before the stress of a big night.
